Crawford Tour
Registered guests at
The Lighthouse B&B (and their guests) get a
50% discount on the Crawford Tour, regularly priced
at $19.95 per person, with a minimum charge of
$19.95 for a tour. Children and larger groups
also receive a reduced rate. The tour usually takes
about two hours, and includes a narrated trip
through Crawford and out by the Ranch. We tell you
about the events that have taken place in the area
since the former President and First Lady first made their
home here. Much of our information comes from
having been the mailman for the route where the
Ranch is for almost 23 years, along with some 45
years of living and working in Crawford.
We point out the
places where particular events have happened, such
as the Inaugural Ball, the announcement of cabinet
member selection, the President's
voting place, the Coffee Station, the site of the
President's press conferences, the media locations,
souvenir shops, the original ranch home where the
President first lived, the Secret Service
Headquarters, the White House Communications site,
heliport, along with other places related to
the Texas White House, etc.
Various anecdotes that
are interesting to most are related and there is
plenty of time for questions.
